Basic questions when you request money from investors:

• What is your vision ? Why are you doing what you do ? Will you address a mega trend ? a societal need ?

• then ask yourself the 3 I questions:

  • Innovation:

    • What is new in your product or development ?

    • What about competition and state-of-the-art ? Is there something similar already on the market ?
      What is the difference ?

  • Impact:

    • Will you create business and valuable jobs ?

    • Will your development be sustainable ? Is there a roadmap for more than three years ?

  • Implementation:

    • Who are the people behind the idea ?

    • Who will develop ?

    • What is the critical path and did you think about the risks, e.g. people leaving, partners going bankrupt, funding ending ?

What is needed ?

• a good communicator, who can talk about the vision in simple words

• a good team of people with experience in writing the proposal, that knows the critical points to be addressed

• a good understanding of the risks and roadblocks that need to be addressed

• undersanidng of the market environment

• a network of partners and people that can contribute

• a track record with financers
